Recently released spy photos of the Hyundai Ioniq 7 reveal key details about the upcoming seven-passenger SUV

The Hyundai Ioniq 7, an upcoming seven-passenger SUV, has been the subject of spy photos that have provided valuable insights into its features and design. The spy photos confirm several details about the new SUV.

Based on the enlarged E-GMP platform, which is also utilized by the Kia EV9, the Ioniq 7 will serve as Hyundai’s third-row crossover in its electric SUV lineup. The photos indicate that the Ioniq 7 shares similarities with its Kia counterpart and the renderings seen earlier. The body and roofline bear resemblance to the EV9, although the front and rear fascias are concealed, hinting at potentially different designs.

The spy photos also reveal that the production version of the Ioniq 7 departs from the more extreme styling elements of the initial Seven Concept. While the concept featured pillarless Coach doors, the production model is expected to have traditional doors and side windows. However, the distinctive front and rear lighting design from the concept is expected to be retained.

In terms of specifications, the Ioniq 7 is likely to offer a spacious interior, thanks to its extended 126-inch wheelbase, tall roof, and flat floor. Sharing the E-GMP platform with the Kia EV9 suggests that multiple drivetrain options will be available, including single-motor rear-wheel drive configurations and a dual-motor all-wheel drive version.
