Dr. Anne McCloskey, a suspended medic, claims to be a victim of a conspiracy

Dr. Anne McCloskey, a doctor from Londonderry, has claimed that she is the victim of a conspiracy aimed at preventing her from practicing medicine. She was suspended in 2021 after her comments regarding the Covid-19 vaccination sparked numerous complaints.

The General Medical Council (GMC) is seeking to extend her suspension while investigations are ongoing. Representing herself in court, Dr. McCloskey asserted that senior members of the medical profession, along with government agents, conspired to revoke her medical license.

She expressed frustration over the lack of fairness and justice in the process, emphasizing that she has been labeled as spreading misinformation and being a danger to patients.

The court proceedings were adjourned by Mr. Justice Rooney to allow for a careful examination of legal papers, with counsel for the GMC affirming their preparedness to handle the case.

A doctor from Londonderry, who was suspended due to remarks about the Covid-19 vaccination, has informed the High Court that she believes she is a victim of a conspiracy aimed at obstructing her from practicing medicine.

In 2021, Dr. Anne McCloskey faced suspension following her remarks that generated several complaints. The General Medical Council (GMC) now seeks to prolong her suspension.

During Monday’s court hearing, Dr. McCloskey expressed that her professional reputation had been unjustifiably tarnished.

During the court proceedings in Belfast on Monday, Dr. McCloskey claimed that certain individuals within the medical profession and government entities conspired against her.

Dr. Anne McCloskey boldly claimed that a conspiracy orchestrated by influential figures within the medical profession, along with government agents, has been at play since the initiation of the process that led to her suspension. The alleged aim of this conspiracy is to strip her of her medical license, according to Dr. McCloskey’s statement.

In August 2021, Dr. McCloskey raised concerns about the administration of Covid vaccinations to young individuals in a social media video. Subsequently, in the following month, a tribunal issued an 18-month suspension after receiving multiple complaints regarding her comments.

The GMC is currently pursuing an extension of the restrictions while all relevant investigations are ongoing. Representing herself in court, Dr. McCloskey informed the High Court that over 20,000 individuals have signed an online petition advocating for her reinstatement.

Expressing her frustration, Dr. McCloskey highlighted that she has been awaiting due process for two years. She emphasized the lack of fairness or justice in her case, with the accusation of “misinformation” and being labeled a danger to patients being the primary basis against her.

The proceedings were adjourned by Mr. Justice Rooney until later in the week. The adjournment was necessary to allow for a thorough examination of all pertinent legal documents. Counsel representing the GMC assured the court of their readiness to proceed with the case.
